Raees, the film is a story of a bootlegger Raees Alam who how gain supreme fame and political power in Gujarat in years from 1980-1993. Sheetal, the girl who style Shahrukh in movie reveals, "The story spans over 13 years. From 1980 to somewhere around 1993. It is SRK's journey as Raees which will be captured in the frames."

She continued, "There will be three different looks as well. Shah Ruth's character goes through distinctive changes in these periods.. At first he's a common man, then he becomes a bootlegging mafia and then there's the portion where he becomes the political leader. So we kept three different looks and tried three types of clothes with him."
