Richie Richardson appointed as match referee in Independence Cup

The former West Indies captain Richie Richardson has been appointed as the match referee for the three-match T20 Independence Cup between Pakistan and the World XI side by the  International Cricket Council (ICC).

On September 12 and 13 the first two T20Is are scheduled to be played while the final game will be played on September 15 at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Richardson has been a member of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees since January 2016 and has refereed in 11 Tests, 19 ODIs and 18 T20Is to date.
