New Delhi: Today, SC declined to stop several courts from hearing pleas on currency ban. As well as the Centre was asked by the Supreme Court to transfer all such cases to one high court.

It was the second time in a week, when the Supreme Court asked the harsh questions to Centre. By referring to pleas challenging the rapid decision of demonetization, Chief Justice of India TS Thakur, said that, the issue is very serious.

The Chief Justice asked the government in a serious of questions which includes, "You have scrapped 500 and 1,000, but what happened to the 100 rupee note?"

"The last time you said you are working out relief but you have reduced the withdrawal amount to 2,000. What's the problem? Is it printing problem?”, one more question asked by the Court.

"Not only printing... it has to be transported to lakhs of branches across the country and ATMs have to re-calibrated. We have given relief to farmers, wedding and small traders,” said the top lawyer of government in reply.
