The scripting for the sequel to Sadak has officially begun. Pooja Bhatt shares a picture of her dad Mahesh Bhatt discussing the script for Sadak 2.

It is to see whether Sanjay Dutt would be part of the film or not! Sanjay about it had stated, "If 'Sadak 2' ever happens, I would love to do it." Also, Pooja about making Sadak 2 stated, "It will not be a remake of the original and no, I am not in talks with Alia to reprise my role."

She also said, "The story will start from where we left it. It is difficult to imagine Sadak without Maharani (played by the late Sadashiv Amrapurkar), but it would be incomplete without Sanjay Dutt."
