The South Africa's Faf du Plessis is going to lead the World XI for the upcoming three-match T20 series against Pakistan which is scheduled to be played in Lahore next month.
On September 12 and 13 the first two T20Is will be played while the last one will be played on September 15 at the Gaddafi Stadium.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi confirmed this news in a press conference yesterday where he said "This will be an auspicious moment for Pakistan cricket and I am positive that it will serve to open the doors of international cricket in Pakistan. Kenya and Zimbabwe have already been here and featured in high-voltage matches with rapturous crowds,"
Du Plessis said "Like most of the players, I look forward to my maiden tour to Lahore and play my part in the safe and gradual resumption of international cricket in Pakistan,"
