In the sexual assault case, thousands of supporters of the Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh have gathered in Panchkula before the court's decision to come on August 25.
People in the city are seen in the park and on the pavement. In view of this, schools and colleges have been closed until August 25 in Panchkula and Chandigarh.
Schools and colleges will be closed tomorrow in Punjab too. A total of 64,000 troops will be deployed in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. At the same time, the Central Government sent 9700 CRPF personnel to Haryana to repair the security system. The borders connected with the state are being monitored by drone cameras sealed on all sides.
Section 144 is applicable in many districts:
While expressing objection to a statement by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the Dera spokesman Aditya Man said that he should not make such remarks. This type of statement will create confusion among the people. Without discussing with us, the Chief Minister, unfortunately, said that Guru Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh will go to Panchkula and be present in the court.
The Dera spokesman said that this has created a situation of confusion. Millions of followers are coming. 8-10 lakh people have reached Panchkula. 15 to 2 million people are reaching there. I urge the Chief Minister not to make such a statement, which will make the situation more delicate.
On the other hand, in view of the growing crowd of his supporters in Panchkula, the police are preparing to bring the Dera Chief in the helicopter for hearing in the court. The government has decided that they will be brought from the helicopter to Sirsa from Panchkula to Parade Ground of Sector-5.
