If you're feeling stressed, then follow these simple tips to help reduce stress levels.

1. Reduce Caffeine and Alcohol intake

Caffeine is a stimulant and will increase stress levels.  Alcohol is a depressant when it is taken in large quantities.  Try increasing your water intake instead of caffeine and alcohol.  Keep yourself hydrated as this will enable your body deal with stress.

2. Exercise and Physical Activity

Exercise and physical activity can help to metabolize the excessive stress hormones and can calm your body and give you a more relaxed feeling.

3. Get more sleep

Stress interrupts sleep and stops us from relaxing enough to fall asleep.  Lack of sleep also causes stress.  Try taking a warm bath, reading a book or listening to music to calm you down a few hours before you sleep.

4. Talk to someone

When you feel stressed it’s important to talk to someone and share your feelings.  Talking to someone can distract your mind from stressful thoughts.

5. Take control of the situation

Try and find a solution to your problem that is stressing you out.  It may seem difficult but try working around it with some problem-solving techniques.

6. Start managing your time

It’s important to know that we cannot do everything at once and hence try and prioritize your tasks.  Make a list of things you need to do first and list them down.
