Gujarat's chief minister Vijay Rupani aroused the political situation in the poll-bound- state after he made a sensational charge against the Congress leader Ahmed Patel. Vijay Ramani clears the explanation from the Congress president Sonia Gandhi's over the arrest of two suspected ISIS terrorists who was arrested from the hospital that he was a patron of. In a press, Vijay Rupani said, "If Ahmed Patel was a patron of the hospital from where two suspected ISIS terrorists were arrested, then should he be not held responsible?” On the other way, Ahmed Patel has fully denied the allegations and backfired the BJP by saying 'BJP' is all responsible for playing dirty politics over issues of national interest. Over this issue, Ahmed Patel said, " The blame that has been put by BJP is totally baseless, so I request that issues of national security not be politicised keeping elections in mind". Ahmed Patel took social media platform and wrote :
Taking the side of Ahmed Patel, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala also said that the BJP and Chief Minister Rupani were "trying to hide their incompetence" through these "baseless statements". According to the reports, their social media accounts had confirmed that both of them were attracted to the extreme ideology since the last three-four years, according to the FIR. They were also in contact with one Shafi Armar, an ISIS handler who is wanted in various cases of serial blasts triggered by Indian Mujahideen (IM) and is currently believed to be out of India, the official said. ATS suspects that both the accused were making "intensive efforts to radicalise other youths in India using various mediums, such as social media, one-on-one meetings and telephonic calls".
