Recently Taapsee Pannu has opted out of an event when the organisers said that they will pay her in cash. The actress refused to take the cash and left the event.

Says the source, "Taapsee knows the value of hard-earned money and always strives to do better in life. She had agreed for a meet and greet event in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. But two days before the event, Taapsee backed out, as she was told that she would be paid in cash. She was against getting hard cash, as that goes against the Indian government’s efforts at digitisation. She told the organisers to pay her by cheque or transfer the money, but when they didn’t agree, she backed off from the said event."

Also Taapsee said, "Now that our government has taken such a big step to get rid of black money in our country, this is the least we can do. With the way I travel and invest, cash would have been of no use to me. I think this is least I can do to make sure there are no black money transactions being made through me."
