Match fixing is the objectionable act and it breaches the code of conduct of fair play. Former South African national team player 'Alviro Pietersen' has been found guilty in the charge of match fixing. In the report, he has been found breaching multiple instances of ICC code of conduct. Right now he is not in the national squad but playing county cricket and captain of Highveld Lions.

Over a long and ongoing investigation, he was found involved in unethical practices and hence has been suspended immediately for 14 days be present himself against the council to speak of the charges.

The match-fixing charges include "contriving to fix or otherwise improperly influence matches during the 2015 Ram Slam".

Gulam Bodi, Jean Symes, Pumelela Matshikwe, Ethy Mbhalati and Thami Tsolekile were all handed lengthy bans by CSA earlier this year for their part in attempting to fix matches in the Ram Slam.

Pietersen has called off his international cricket in 2015.
