Minister of Urban administration and housing Maya singh on Thursday disclosed the news about metro rail project implementation in Bhopal is expected by 2021-22, refusing to underline any specific time. She, however asserted about the project is yet not finalized.
The minister’s written reply came to former Chief Minister Babulal Gaur when he asked about the project. He also asked about, why Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA) refused to give loan for project.
In reply to Gaur’s question, minister replied that so far Rs.26.95 crore had been spent. The minister said that detailed discussion between JICA and state government still in process, till now JICA had not given any respond. She added “agency would be finalized after the central government’s approval.”
