The Bharatiya Janata Party today for the upcoming Manipur Assembly elections has declared its first list of 31 candidates. In the Central Election Committee meeting of the party the names of the candidates are finalised.
It was chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Party President Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and other members of the party were also present in the meeting.
In the first phase , 20 candidates will contest the elections while remaining 11 will contest in the second phase of the polling.
The Manipur Assembly elections will began from 4 March and counting of votes will be on 11 March.
