Dehradun: The Congress party for the Uttarakhand Assembly polls has released the first list of 63 candidates that will contest in the elections. Harish Rawat, the chief minister of Uttarakhand will contest in elections from the Haridwar Rural and Kichha area.

Kishore Upadhyay will contest election from the Sahaspur while Prashad Naithani will fight from Deoprayag. Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party released its candidate list for the assembly polls.

The Uttarakhand election are scheduled to held on February 15 and counting of votes will be on the 11 march.
