Electric fault, at university building kills 12 students in Turkey

On Tuesday, a school building where students resided caught fire that, killed 12 students mostly girls. The reason for fire was due to some electric fault in the building and then it caught hold of the building through its wooden interiors, due to which people jumped off from their window to save their life.

Those happen to stay at the top floor probably died of suffocation under closed doors, authorities reported.

The incident took place in the Southern Turkish region of Adana. “We lost 12 of our citizens in the fire.Eleven of them were schoolchildren and one was a tutor. 22 citizens are injured,” Governor of Adana, Mahmut Demirtas told Turkish NTV television.

“According to initial findings, we believe the fire was caused by electrical fault,” he added.
