27% Hike in JNU Entrance Exam Fee

It has been notified that the fee for entrance examination has increased by 27%. This change has been brought after 13 years. Earlier the fee structure was revised in the year 2003. Now the students have to pay fess according to the new structure for the upcoming session. This is a big change taking place after years.

Previously the fees of applying for BA programs were Rs. 420 and for choosing one additional programs was Rs. 630 and 800 respectively. Now the same has been revised upto Rs. 530, Rs. 800 and Rs. 100.

The fees for the courses like MPhill, PhD, MTech , MSc, MCa and MA have also been changed. It is increased from Rs. 300 to Rs. 400.

This decision was taken by the officials of the admission department in the recent meeting of the Academic Council followed by the Executive Council.

Also this increased new fees structure will not be applicable to the students falling in the reserved category including SC/ST, physically disabled and Below Poverty Line. But the general Category, OBC students and the applicants from abroad will have to pay according to this new fees structure.

No specific reason have been told as to why this decision is taken or what initiated this at first place but from now onward this upcoming session the JNU fees structure will be as per the new one and have to followed by the applicant.
