Generally the undergraduate admissions in Delhi University start in June or may after the declaration of board exam results. In order to ease the admission process and provide student more time for applying the admission procedure is starting prior this year.

With a thought of providing more time to students for completing the registration process in the undergraduate programs Delhi University is starting the admissions of the undergraduate program in two months in advance.

The admission will start from the end of March and it will be same as followed by many years. The admission procedure is also changed. Previously students were admitted on the basis of traditional cutoffs but this year they will be admitted through entrance exam conducted by the Delhi University The proposal is still in the processing stage. The application will be completed and the forms will be filled only after the board results are announced.

What type of entrance exam will be held is still in the discussion. The examination will be subjective or objective is yet to be finalized. All these proposals will be presented by Standing Committee to the Vice Chancellor.

The board exams marks will also become the criteria for the admission. The percentage weightage that to be given to the exam marks will also be discussed but the main emphasis will be on the entrance exam.

This will help the students to get specific topics of their interest. And the selection of student according to results of the exam will make the process easy for the university.
