Facebook is mainly planning to focus on videos and giphy files, as these two are the main attraction points of the social media. Facebook have nearly 1.9 billion monthly active users and 1.2 billion active users per day.

As per the source, Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg said, "I see the video as a mega trend on the same order as mobile. That’s why we’re going to keep putting video first across our family of apps and making it easier for people to capture and share video in new ways."

Now, Facebook is planning to insert advertisements in the videos. This measure is taken to give profit to the third party linked to Facebook. Brian Boland VP of Publisher Solutions & Maria Angelidou-Smith, Product Manager in his blog post said, "Now, publishers can bring relevant video ads to people all over the world, on both mobile and desktop.”
