In Raigarh, Chhatisgarh instead of selling tomatoes in market, farmers have crushed it under trucks. This is all the result of demonetisation as they were getting Rs 50 for 100 kg. In this area, 4200 hectares of tomato are produced every year which feeds 4000 farmers. But, after PM Modi move, they are not even able to earn the invested cost also.

The same case is in Bihar where cauliflower is sold out in Rs 1 per kg which was used to be sold in Rs 12 per kg. In Maharastra, a farmer got Rs 6000 for his entire production of cabbage. Earlier he use to get Rs 80,000.

As 60% of country's population is dependent on Agriculture, demonetisation has greatly affected the lives of farmers.
