In the morning today, Jambuwantrao Dhote, a former member of parliament from Nagpur passed away as he suffered a Cardiac arrest. In Yavatmal, his last rites will be performed tomorrow where he took last breath.
He was popularly known as 'The Lion of Vidharbha'. In 2002, he founded the Vidharbha Janta Congress party. He was elected from Nagpur in 1980 to 7th Lok Sabha as a Congress candidate.
He was also the son-in-law of Late Ramrao Adik who was the veteran Congress leader.
