Ghulam Nabi Azad , leader of Congress today told the Journalists in Delhi that his party will have alliance with Samajwadi party for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He also said that in coming days, further decision in the matter will be decided.

The decision came just day after the Election Commission granted the cycle symbol to Akhilesh Yadav. Earlier, Sheila Dikshit stated that she will withdraw her name from Chief Ministerial candidate if her party will make alliance with the Samajwadi party.

Ramgopal Yadav on Monday said "It is Akhilesh Yadav who will decide on the alliance. But I am hopeful it will happen," .
