Google Talk was launched in 2005, then the tech garnered the popularity among social media lovers. The company described the G-Talk as "as a simple chat experience between Gmail users." 

Later on, Google launched Hangout in place of Google Talk in 2013, however, users were allowed to choose between the products as per their comfortability. But now, Google is vanishing GTalk, now users cannot use it more.

The news was confirmed by the Google by their official blog post. The post reads, "Talk users within Gmail will receive a prompt in the next few weeks, inviting them to switch to Hangouts."
