Sri Lanka will celebrate it's 70th year of Independence in 2018 via sports, after the agreement between both the Prime Minister of respective countries, Indian Cricket team confirmed their presence in '2018 Independence Cup', to be held in Sri Lanka. 

Sri Lankan Cricket Board had announced its guest for '4-nation tournament', which includes India, Pakistan and South Africa. Sri Lankan Cricket President Thilanga Sumathipala, while talking about the event said, "We are very very keen to play our independence cup in Sri Lanka next year which India has agreed to be a part of it."

This is year will be proved to be fruitful for cricket fans, as Team India is going to have various matches which includes- one off tests against Bangladesh and 4 match test series against Australia.
