Mumbai: On Wednesday, the notification issued by the Reserve Bank of India stated that, the Jan Dhan account holders can withdraw only Rs. 10,000 per month.

“Copious KYC acquiescent holders may take out Rs 10,000 from their account every month,” said, the Central Bank.

The non KYC or limited complaint holders can take out Rs. 5000 per month from the amount credited in demonetized notes after the sudden move taken by PM Modi on November 9, it further added.

“These restrictions were being imposed to protect the innocent farmers and rural account holders of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana from activities of money launderers and legal consequences under Benami transaction laws”, said RBI.
