Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently launched 'mAadhaar app', advancing the government's Digital India initiative.UIDAI proposed the launch of this app on its Twitter account.
This was the tweet by UIDAI "mAadhaar" App for Android Launched by UIDAI, Lets You Carry Aadhaar on Smartphone #AadhaarInNews."
As of now, 'mAadhaar' app is available only on Google Play Store. The app can be used on any Android smartphone supporting Android 5.0 version or above. For signing up, the user has to login with their registered phone number.

* ThemAadhar app's main aim is to let users carry their Aadhaar identity on their smartphones.
* UIDAI said that the app can help in blocking biometric data of the user anytime, anywhere.
* QR code is also a way to view and share their Aadhaar profile.
* The app helps the users to share their KYC information with any service provider if required.
* One of the advancement is that mAadhaar app supports 'T-OTP generation' (Time-based One-Time Password) feature instead of SMS-based OTP.
*mAadhar app users may encounter bugs as the only beta version is available.
*As per the government, itis mandory for the users to link their Aadhar with their bank accounts by December 31, 2017.
