The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today on the occassion of 45th statehood Day has wished the citizens of  Meghalaya, Tripura, and Manipur state through series of tweets on his Twitter account.

On January 21, 1972 Tripura, Manipur and Meghalaya attained statehood under the North-Eastern Areas (Re-organisation) Act.

He tweeted "Greetings to the people of Manipur on their Statehood Day. I hope Manipur will remain blessed with joy and prosperity".

"On their Statehood Day, I convey my best wishes to the people of Tripura and pray for the states all-round growth", another tweet of the PM.

In the last tweet he wrote "Statehood Day greetings to the people of Meghalaya. My best wishes for the development journey of the state."
