On the festival of Makar Sakranti, Pongal, Magh Bihu and Uttarayan today, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished the citizens through series of tweets.

On her Twitter account he tweeted “Today people across India are celebrating various festivals. My greetings to everyone celebrating these auspicious festivals,”. As this fest is celebrated in different parts of India with different names, he wished everyone separately too.

He tweeted “Makar Sankranti greetings. May this day bring joy & prosperity in everyone’s lives,”. Another tweet was “Wishing my Tamil friends a happy & blessed Pongal,”. “On the special occasion of Magh Bihu, my greetings to the people of Assam,” read another one and for Tamil Nadu he tweeted “Wishing my Tamil friends a happy & blessed Pongal,”.

He also mentioned that diversity is India’s greatest strength and at last tweeted “May these festivals bring abundance of happiness and prosperity in the lives of our hardworking farmers,” .
