This was not so good season for the star player Rafael Nadal because of the injuries and other medical problems. He has stepped back in October to be fully fit so that he can better set his eyes for the 2017 Grand Slam. He is expected to join back on the court in Mubadala World Tennis Championships exhibition event which is expected to happen in Abu Dhabi in December this year.

Rafael Nadal is fourteen-time grand slam champion and is one of the strong contenders for the number one rank. Andy Murray has recently made himself to number 1 rank by winning Paris Masters title. Earlier Novak Djokovic was the number one.

"Excited to announce my first tournament back will be in Abu Dhabi at the #MubadalaWorldTennisChampionship in December,"the Spaniard posted on his Twitter account on Monday.
