Ravichandran Ashwin, India's finest Test bowler and all-rounder, has added yet another feather in his cap. He has become the highest wicket-taker in a Test series at home against Australia. He achieved his next best feat bowling against Mitchell Starc.
At his achievement, Aussies were bundled out for 260 on the second day of the progressing Test series in Pune.
The yet best record of former Indian captain and all-rounder cricketer, Kapil Dev, was scored at 63 wickets from 13 matches back in 1979-80 season. This record has been shattered by the Tamil Nadu bowler at 67 wickets in just 10 matches- the most in a home season.
After Kapil Dev, now, stands Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan at No.3 with 54 wickets in 2001-02 seasons.
