New Delhi: Today, the strike called by Sanitation workers for the pending salaries of last three months have extended to the 8th day outside East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) and still the officials are unanswerable.
Protesters say that, they will be striking for the salary till the time their demands are not fulfilled. One of the protesters said, " We haven't got our salaries for the last three months. How will we survive? We are not able to feed our children."
Sanitation workers showed their agitation by dumping garbage on the Roads.
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said, enough funds have been given to the municipal bodies, but they don't know what they did with that.
