The Supreme court yesterday announced its verdict and Sasikala​ has been convicted in a disproportionate assets case. She has been sentenced to four-year jail imprisonment and is also asked to pay fine of Rs 10 crore. It is expected that today she will surrender.

Today, the TTV Dinakaran is appointed as the acting general secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party.  Edapadi K. Palanisamy is appointed as the legislative leader by the party leadership.

TTV Dinakaran is a Sasikala nephew who was back in 2011 was expelled from the AIADMK party by late  Jayalalithaa.
