Hyderabad: On Thursday evening, a newly established seven storey building collapsed in the City's Nanakramguda area, killing one and injuring two others.
The body of the deceased was pulled out from the debris. It was reported that there were five families got stuck inside the building at the time of collapse ,also 10-12 others still feared trapped inside the building. With the police, the National Disaster Response Force or NDRF is also helping in the rescue operation.
“The building suddenly caved in around 10:30 pm on Thursday while workers were engaged in tiling and plumbing work”, said the officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
“The building was poorly constructed and flouted norms in the materials used, hence the collapse," they further added.
