One of the biggest name in the world of Music- SONU NIGAM  is celebrating his 44th Birthday today. Yes, the multi talented singer who gave his heart touching voice to songs like ‘Yeh Dil Deewana'. ‘Piyu Bole', ‘Saathiya', ‘Inn Lamhon Ke Daaman' and others was born on 30th July 1973.

The Handsome singer with his melodious voice entertained the people for over two decades. You might not know that the 44-year-old started his singing career at the age of four.

On the occasion of one of the highest paid Indian singers. Here are some of the interesting facts which people along with his fans should remain aware of.

# Singing is in the blood of Nigam as he is born to the family of singers. He sang his first song 'Kya Hua Tera Wada' when he joined his father Agam Kumar Nigam on stage.

#  Sonu Nigam is POLYGLOT. He can sing in over 12 languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Punjabi, Oriya, Nepali, English, Bhojpuri, Nepali, Urdu and Marathi.

# With his brilliant singing talent he has won a number of awards which you can't even count on your fingers.  He won his first Filmfare awards in 1999 for the track 'Ishq Bina' in Taal and National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2003  for the title track of  'Kal Ho Na Ho'.

# Apart from getting an astounding success in Singing he also tried his luck in Film Industry. He appeared as a child actor in 1983 film 'Betaab' and as a grown up he acted in 2004 movie 'Love in Nepal'. If you guys remembered he was also seen in the movie  'Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani' and 'Kash Aap Hamare Hote'.

# He has given his soulful voice to Aladdin and Rio and he also dubbed version of a Japanese animated film, The Mystical Laws.

# When he tweeted on the Azaan recently he lead himself to controversy.  Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi, who is the vice president, West Bengal United Minority Council announced a reward of Rs 10 Lakh to anyone who shaved his head, and to which Sonu Nigam responded with shaving his head. On  24th May 2017 he deleted his Twitter account.
