Supreme Court to not pass its judgement for a week on 'Jallikattu'

The Supreme Court today has declared that it will not pass any Judgement on the ban of Jallikattu issue for a week. It has agreed with the Union Government Request so as to prevent any type of unrest in the Tamil Nadu.

The protest against the ban was continuously increasing. Today, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Working  president M.K Stalin and other party workers were taken in preventive custody for protesting against the ban on Bull taming sport Jallikattu and joining the Rail Roka in Chennai though after some time they were released.

In the morning today, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam said that a drafted ordinance has been sent to Ministry of Home Affairs after he had legal discussion with the experts.

Yesterday, the Chief Minister also met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the Jallikattu matter.
