India-based Maruti Suzuki sold more than 1.1 lakh units of its SUV compact crossover, Vitara Brezza in the first year of launch. The news was broken by the company on Monday.
The car was launched in March 2016, and still, it has some of the pending bookings, which are over 50,000 units and company has to wait for 20 weeks to accomplish these pending cars sell.
Kenichi Ayukawa, Maruti Suzuki India MD said that within a short period of span Vitara Brezza redefined the urban SUV segment in India. The model had hiked the sales of the crossover by 120% in between April and February.
