Everyone loves their kids, but let’s face it when kids act stubborn you’re at your wits end and just can’t control yourself and start yelling and screaming at them. But this is the last thing you want to do. After this everyone gets more upset than they need to be. And later start feeling guilty.
Listen, don’t argue
If you want your kid to listen to you, you have to be willing to listen to them first. Communication is a two-way street.
Lower your expectations
Don’t expect too much from them. They are kids; you as an adult need to be the understanding one.
Try whispering
This is the best strategy. When you yell, it puts them off completely. When you whisper to them they have to strain to listen to every word your saying.
Don’t Force them
When you ask your kid not to do something or force them to do something, they tend to rebel and do what they’re not supposed to.
Be a role model
We are constantly with our kids. They look up to us for everything. If we are angry and behave badly, that is the way they think it is and respond in the same manner.
Give them Options
Kids think very differently and are in a world of their own. Whatever you ask them or tell them, their answer will always be negative or different from yours. At times let them chose what they want to do. If it is a problem, explaining to them as calmly as possible.
