A giant social media application Whatsapp have brought a drastic change in its status feature. Now, the new status feature supports user to post pictures or videos on their status bar. 

Since the day Whatsapp has globally announced its first application, it has garnered many daily users. As per the reports, Whatsapp has nearly 1.2 billion monthly active users and 50 billions messages per day. This is an average count, not only this but users also post 3.3 billion pictures, 80 million giphy files, and 750 million videos.

Product Manager Randall Sarafa, while talking about Whatsapp's new feature said that the new feature is to encourage users to post their status more conveniently. He said, "You will be able to see status updates only from those on your contact list and only those who you engage with regularly will show up.”
