During the ancient times, our earth is having many caves and we also heard about most of them like Ajanta alora caves and many more. But most of us don’t know the counting of caves present in the world.
We are going to tell you about such a unique and mysterious cave. This is the deepest one amongst the caves present in the world. This place is Known as Krubera Cave and is 2179 metres means 7208 feets deep. Krubera cave is situated in the Arabika Massif of the Gagra Range of the Western Caucasus.
Krubera was discovered in 1960 and the dreadful thing about this cave is that it can be explored only in some particular 4 months of a year. It became the deepest-known cave in the world in 2001 when the expedition of the Ukrainian Speleological Association reached a depth of 1,710 m which exceeded the depth of the previous deepest-known cave.
The cave was further extended by the Ukrainian diver Gennadiy Samokhin as he dived in the terminal sump to 46 metres depth in 2007 and then to 52 m in 2012, setting successive world records of 2,191 m and 2,197 m, respectively.
