Idukki: The police yesterday have arrested a priest for raping a 70-year-old temple employee. The accused who is arrested has been identified as the Vaisakh who is 20 years old of Pallikkattil, Madukka.
When the arrested accused arrived at the temple to perform pooja last week the incident took place. The incident came into light when on Saturday she went to the Idukki District Hospital and told the doctors. Then the female officer recorded her statement.
The accused was produced in front of the court which remanded him for fourteen days.
