Hero Electric, India's leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, stated on Friday that it will expand India's existing charging infrastructure by constructing 10,000 EV charging stations by 2022. The new initiative is part of Hero Electric's cooperation with Massive Mobility, a Delhi-based EV charging solutions start-up. The business also stated that their new setup will be available to all EV users and will therefore aid in "manufacturer standardization." Huge Mobility, Hero Electric's latest EV partner, is a firm that seeks to create a "smart linked network" for all 3-wheeler and 2-wheeler EV charging needs. Through its cloud-based technologies, it provides EV owners with charging and parking services. Massive Mobility is said to be assisting Hero Electric in expanding India's charging infrastructure. “Recent decisions by the Indian government in recent months have aided in propelling the electric vehicle sector to the next level. To build an ecosystem, we continue to expand our reach by installing charging stations and reskilling mechanics. "Hero has been investing in planning low-cost charging stations over the last few years as a pioneer brand in the EV market to promote expansion of the charging infrastructure," said Sohinder Gill, CEO of Hero Electric. Both businesses have also collaborated on a study to determine how customers use their charging stations. According to the poll, EV owners want smart chargers that can be found via an app on the internet, 16 AMP charging stations, and lengthy cords. “To date, we have installed close to 1650 charging stations, with a goal of installing 20,000 by the end of 2022. Our collaboration with Massive Mobility will extend our efforts in achieving our goal. "Not only will this cooperation benefit Hero as a company, but it will also benefit the industry," Gill added.
