CM Nitish to visit 16 districts of Bihar flood affected areas today

Patna:16 districts of Bihar are reeling under floods these days due to the rising water level of rivers including the Ganga. So far, 16 people have lost their lives due to the devastating floods. More than 32,000 people have been affected. CM Nitish Kumar is constantly monitoring the situation by conducting aerial surveys. He is going to relief camps to know the movement of the affected people. CM Nitish Kamar will also conduct an aerial survey of flood-affected areas of Purnia and Katihar today and meet the affected people.

Tell you that CM Nitish had visited Khagaria, Bhagalpur, and Begusarai on Tuesday. According to reports, 32.29 thousand people have been affected by floods in 16 districts of Bihar. At the same time, 16 people have lost their lives due to this disaster. The families of all the deceased will be paid Rs 4 lakh each as compensation from the CM Fund. 14 teams of NDRF and 12 teams of SDRF have been deployed for relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas.

According to the Department of Water Resources and Disaster Management, about 670 Panchayats in 96 blocks of Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Saharsa, Vaishali, Bhojpur, Munger, Lakhisarai, Bhagalpur, Saran, Begusarai, Buxar, Purnia, and Samastipur are facing floods. However, the water level of Ganga in Patna has started receding now. If the water level continues to decline, the problem of floods will soon be relieved.
