Yogi Adityanath govt failed to protect women: UP Cong chief

Lucknow: A shocking revelation regarding the plight of girls in Uttar Pradesh has surfaced. Three females are reported missing every day in the state, according to an RTI request. These females are being lured into a love trap and disappearing or being pushed into flesh trafficking. According to statistics obtained via the right to information (RTI), a total of 1,763 children, including 1,166 females, went missing in Uttar Pradesh last year.

These females ages range from 12 to 18, and 1,080 girls in this age group have gone missing, with authorities recovering 966 of the total missing children. Meanwhile, approximately 200 females have gone missing with no one knowing about it. In 2020, Naresh Paras, an RTI and child rights activist from the state's Agra area, requested information from the Uttar Pradesh police on missing children through RTI.

According to their RTI, police from 50 districts across the state responded, and a total of 1,763 children went missing during this time. There are 597 males and 1,166 girls in this group. Police in Uttar Pradesh has found 1,461 youngsters so far, with 302 children still missing. There are 102 guys and 200 girls among them. These numbers, on the other hand, suggest that five children go missing every day in 50 districts across the state, with three of them being girls.
