Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai called a meeting on Saturday evening to review the situation that has arisen as a result of an increase in Covid-19 cases in Bengaluru and Dharwad, as well as the impact of the new strain of the virus. K. Sudhakar, the Minister of Health, declared that the new virus should not be a cause for alarm. New rules will be issued, and airports will conduct Covid testing, with individuals who test positive being quarantined. After a week, they will be submitted to another test, he added.

The Chief Minister noted that the symptoms of the new Covid strain Omicron are similar to those of previous strains. It'll be interesting to see if it's more dangerous than the Delta variant.
