New Delhi: A person has been detained with a 30 kg ganja by the team of New Delhi Railway Station. The person taken into custody is Sukhwinder Singh alias Chetan. The team has seized 30 kg of ganja hidden in two bags brought to Delhi from Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express. On 27 November, the patrolling team at New Delhi Railway Station to keep surveillance over the passengers and maintain law and order over the platforms noticed a person, in TTE uniform leaving the platform near base kitchen in North Yard, carrying two bags on his shoulders. His unusual antics alerted the patrolling team. He was immediately intercepted and interrogated by the police, who could not answer satisfactorily, which increased the suspicion of the patrolling team. Ganja was found in both bags during searches. The police immediately arrested him. According to the procedure of the NDPS Act, the ganja was weighed 30 kg. During interrogation, it is revealed that he was in the jeans trading business before the lockdown. Due to the corona lockdown, he came across a drug trafficker's contact, was easily attracted by the money and started working as a drug handler. It was to be supplied in Delhi.
