New Delhi: Farmers protesting for withdrawal of the new agricultural law and guaranteeing minimum support price for their crops are stuck on the border connecting Delhi with other states in huge numbers. While farmers from Punjab are camping on the Indus and Tikri borders of Delhi, on the border of UP, farmers led by Indian farmers union leader Rakesh Tikait in the figure of thousands.
Thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh traveled towards Delhi on Saturday and have camped on various borders of Delhi. The agitating farmers camping on the borders of the capital Delhi have urged the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to end the agitation and go on a sit-in protest at the place decided by the administration, then the government can discuss with them even before December 3.
Punjab CM Amarinder Singh on Saturday appealed to the farmers to accept the appeal of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and take their protest to the designated place, so that the path of their issue can be resolved at the earliest. Earlier, Punjab Pradesh President of the Indian Farmers Union, Jagjit Singh said, “The Home Minister has put conditions for discussion. This is not good. They should offer open-hearted discussion unconditionally. We will hold a meeting in the morning to decide our response.
