New Delhi: Police have busted a gang involved in child trafficking in the national capital. At the same time, the police laid a trap and arrested the four accused. The police official said the gang was involved in trafficking of several children. He said the gang members used to buy children from economically backward families and sell them to the childless couple for a hefty sum of money. On investigation by the police, pictures of minor children have been recovered from the mobile phone of the accused. DCP North Sagar Singh Kalsi told the media that they had received secret information that a gang member was coming to sell a child. He said that after this, the police laid a trap and raided and arrested four people from the spot. A seven-eight-month-old baby has also been recovered from the accused. Last month, the Crime Branch of The Delhi Police had busted an inter-state racket of allegedly kidnaping, trafficking and buying and adopting infants in exchange for money from biological parents or poor parents, while the gangster is still on the run. At the same time, the police official said that the gang was involved in the trafficking of more than 50 children.
