4 policemen suspended as accused escapes from custody

Lucknow: How strong the criminals are in UP, it can be understood from this that criminals are absconding from police custody as well. The youth who threatened to kidnap a ninth student has escaped from the custody of Noida police, which has caused a stir in the police department since then. Now, taking cognizance of this matter, the police administration has suspended four policemen.

Recently, the accused Rajan Gupta had vomited, after which the accused was admitted by Greater Noida Police to the Jims Hospital in Greater Noida for treatment and investigation. On Thursday, Rajan Gupta escaped from there by dodging policemen posted in security. After this, a case was registered against the negligent policemen head constables Mayank Shukla, Havildar Pankaj, Sunil, and Vineet in this case. The four policemen have been suspended at present. Where these four policemen were while the prisoner was absconding, an investigation is also being done.

On receiving the information about the absconding of the accused in Noida from police custody, Noida Commissioner Alok Singh has ordered the suspension of four policemen. A case has also been registered against the policemen for extorting the accused. Now departmental inquiry will also be done to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
