40 feet Panchmukh Rudra Maha Ganapati in Khairatabad

Hyderabad: The preparations for Ganesh Chaturthi, which begins on September 10, are going on in full swing in the city. This year the committee has decided to make 40 feet Panchmukh Rudra Maha Ganapati in Khairatabad. Last year the height of the idol was 20 feet. According to the festival committee, there will be an idol of 15 feet Kala Nageshwari on the right side of Maha Ganapati and 15 feet on the left side of Krishna Kali.

Also, the most popular Balapur Ganesh Laddu auction, which has been running uninterrupted for 27 years, was put on hold for the first time in 2020 due to the spread of COVID-19, which will be conducted this year. However, the festival committee has decided to organize Navratri celebrations in Balapur this year as the situation is favourable. Utsav committee said that Ganesh Navratri festival will be organized in compliance with Kovid rules

The committee members said that the event would be organized following strict COVID norms. While the pandal organizers have been asked to see that the venue does not lead to the spread of COVID, it has urged the government to make necessary arrangements for the ceremony. The committee leaders urged the GHMC officials to prepare all roads in their limits and make arrangements for drinking water before the idol immersion programme. He also urged the officials to pay attention to the power supply. The committee leaders asked the organizers not to compete over the height of the Ganesh idol and said that their focus should be on following the Corona guidelines.
