5 hot drinks for those who are tired of regular tea and coffee

For the preparation of hot drinks special culinary skills are not needed. Even a beginner can handle it. There are simple recipes, there are more difficult, and two more drinks came to us from books.

1. Red citrus tea

Sweet and sour drink with a bright citrus aroma. Good replaces ordinary tea.

2 tablespoons karkade tea; 1–2 lemon wedges; 1-2 orange slices; 1-2 slices of grapefruit; 500 ml of water; honey or sugar to taste.

How to cook

Peel slices of lemon, orange and grapefruit from peel and films. Place the karkade and fruit in a saucepan. Boil water beforehand, fill it with fruit and tea.

If you want to add sugar, put it to fruit and tea, mix. Put on a small fire. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, close the lid. Let it brew for 2-3 minutes. Pour into cups and serve. If you add honey , put it in a cup just before serving.

Note: do not boil the hibiscus petals for a very long time - they will turn gray. And it is better not to put honey in boiling tea, but to add it to the cooled drink. So it will retain its flavor and benefits.

2. Berry tea

Sour, very fragrant and healthy tea, which is ideally suited to desserts.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons blueberries; 2 tablespoons of blueberry; 2 tablespoons of strawberries; 2 tablespoons of strawberries; 500 ml of water; honey or sugar to taste.

How to cook

Mash the berries in a cup or mortar. Transfer this mass to the kettle. Add sugar. Fill the grated berries with boiling water, mix. Close the kettle with a lid. It is advisable to wrap him with a towel or put a tea woman on him. To insist on such tea you need at least 10 minutes. Honey is added just before serving.

Note: You can use fresh, frozen or dried berries. If you use dried berries, you need to take two teaspoons, and not tablespoons of each fruit. In this tea, you can also add dried leaves from the berry bushes - it will turn out even more tasty.

3. Sea buckthorn tea

Obligatory item in the autumn-winter menu - aromatic sea buckthorn tea. He is credited with almost healing properties, but it seems to me that he is simply very tasty.

Ingredients

100 g sea buckthorn; 1 teaspoon grated ginger; cinnamon stick; badyan; 500 ml of water; honey or sugar to taste.

How to cook

In a saucepan, mash the sea buckthorn with a fork, add ginger, mix. Add sugar and mix the mass again. Fill with water and put on fire. When the tea boils, remove from the heat, put the spices in the saucepan and cover with a lid. Tea is infused for at least 7 minutes. Honey is added before serving.

4. Apple Peel Drink

This drink is very similar to brew. It will be necessary by the way to pies, cheesecakes and any baking.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons dried apple peel or dried apples; ½ cinnamon sticks; 500 ml of water; honey or sugar to taste.

How to cook

Put dry apple peel and cinnamon stick in a saucepan, cover with cold water, put on the fire, cover with a lid. Without removing the lid, bring the tea to a boil, remove from the stove and let it brew for 15 minutes. Wrap a saucepan with a cloth or cover with a tea woman. Before serving, you can add sugar and honey.

5. Whipped milk with syrup

This drink is served in many restaurants, coffee shops and pastry shops, but it is quite expensive. We pacify the inner miser and prepare the milk with the syrup independently.

Ingredients

a glass of milk ; a few drops of any syrup (lavender, coffee, chocolate, caramel, fruit).

How to cook

Pour the milk into a saucepan and heat slowly. The drink should be hot, but milk should not be boiled. When heated, remove from heat. If there is a shaker, pour the milk into it and add the syrup. Then whisk and carefully pour into a glass so that the foam does not fall.

Milk can be whipped with a mixer or pour it into a jar and shake it. The foam should be dense and consist of small bubbles.

Note: Lavender and other syrups can be bought at the supermarket. If you do not want to buy, you can cook yourself. Mix a glass of water, a glass of sugar and 2 tablespoons of dried lavender, cook a minute, and then strain.
