Deoghar: A woman, Nritika, was gang-raped in Jharkhand's Deoghar district. In this connection, the police have registered an FIR against 6 persons on the basis of the complaint of the victim and started an investigation. Two of the criminals have been arrested. On Monday, Deoghar police said that a report has been registered in Pathrol police station area about the gang rape of a woman by six people on Sunday. The victim is a dancer by profession. SP (Deoghar) Subhash Chandra Jat said that after the case of gang rape by six persons came to light in Pathrol police station area, the police took immediate action and got the victim medically examined. An SIT has been formed to investigate the case. A search is on for all the culprits involved in the incident. Reacting to the Deoghar gangrape incident, Jharkhand minister Banna Gupta said the government is sensitive and arrests are being made within 24 hours. Work is underway for a speedy trial.
