Woman gang-raped in Delhi hotel, three including constable arrested

New Delhi: A woman was allegedly gang-raped at a hotel in Delhi's Adarsh Nagar area, police said on Saturday. When the police investigated the case, one of the accused in the gangrape turned out to be a constable in the Rajasthan Police. On the complaint of the woman, the police have registered a case against three persons, including the constable. The woman claimed she was called to the hotel. There, the accused drugged her with cold drinks and when she fell unconscious, she was gang-raped.

According to Delhi Police, a PCR call regarding the gangrape was received at Adarsh Nagar police station on October 9. Police personnel rushed to a hotel and questioned the 32-year-old victim. The woman said she was called by one of her acquaintances to a hotel where two of her friends were also already present. They made her drink a cold drink, after which she fainted. Later, they all gang-raped her. The woman underwent a medical test and counselling was also conducted.

A case in this regard was registered at Adarsh Nagar police station. All three accused have been arrested in the case. One of the accused is posted with Rajasthan Police. The accused has been identified as Tara Chandra. Further investigation is underway, police said.
